Meet Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar

Sri Shyamji
The life of a great man and his works for a better world
Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar was a spiritual teacher, visionary and leader who had deep compassion for those who are suffering in the human condition. He was from the lineage of Naada Yoga (sound) and Svar Yoga (breath), and he was known internationally for his voice. His unusual ability to produce the ethereal space called soorya akasha (golden ether) with his voice allows the listeners to experience peace and contentment. A few of his sacred sound offerings are available freely here.
His non-profit organization was founded in 1970 with the intention of synthesizing the knowledge of East and West, in order to aid those seeking to understand these principles in the conduct of their every day lives.
In 1991, he met Dandi Swami Atmanandendra (Swamiji), a rare saint. Swamiji is the foremost disciple of his Holiness Sri Satchidanandendra Saraswati, the great authority on Shankara Advaita Vedanta. Sri Shyamji met Swamiji while walking in the high Himalayas. Swamiji's extensive dialogue on the Bhagavad Gita is one of the greatest inheritances of the Chakra Institute and it's students. One of his important contributions to the living tradition of yoga is the discovery of the 147 microchakras called Microchakra Psychology. This system operates on subtle-body structures never before recognized in yogic literature. In 2009, in collaboration with Psychologist Dr. David Isaacs, he co-authored Microchakras: Inner Tuning for Psychological Wellbeing.
