Microchakra Theory: Inner-Tuning Technology for Wellness

The Microchakras are an extension of the ancient knowledge of Chakras, our energy system. Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar received a vision of the intricacy of the chakras functioning which determine our inner struggles and strengths. The study of Chakras and Microchakras is immense in both depth and breadth, it is grander than any psychological theory one will find. Yet, it is still a Microcosm of the greater Chakra of existence.

Not everything that exists will make sense to the rational mind in the current state of consciousness. We accept there are light and sound waves that our sensory organs cannot experience. The Chakras are in the subtle body, which is the energetic body of each being. From vibration comes form, that is indisputable, therefore, of course your physical existence has an energetic counterpart. In a very simplified way, a thought will precede the motivation, and the motivation will precede the action. Mind precedes emotion (energy) and emotion precedes physical action. The causal body (mind) precedes the subtle (energy) which impacts physical reality. You are currently conscious of the physical dimension primarily. Emotions and thoughts may or may not be in your awareness and control. They surely impact your life, but levels of awareness will vary.

Chakras are energy centers or vortexes of light. These lights feed certain energy channels and bring life force to areas of the body. The blockages are not of the chakras themselves, as the light of the chakra is always shining; it is at the level of the passageways which Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar termed the “Microchakras”, where blockages occur. This holographic representation demonstrates how, within each type of energy, there are representatives from every other energy playing a role in its functioning. In this way, they continue to work together attempting to bring holism to the system.

The 7 Chakras are both dimensions of existence and minds of their own. For the sake of brevity, these 7 dimensions exist within you and determine the functioning of these areas of life. Some functionality is set in childhood, through the early experiences from womb, birthing and early life (learn more about these recommendations here) . Other aspects of life can continue to be impacted which can help to reduce the negative impact of early blocks. Both Champion patterns, which assist our ascent of consciousness and Saboteur patterns which delay it are present. In order to make real progress one needs certain purifications and actions that help the system support advancement of consciousness. These processes are in line with classical Tantric traditions and Advaita Vedanta. Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar, being specifically able to see the chakra lights and blockages through his finger tips, spent his life formulating processes that helped humans make the most progress in this lifetime.

The chakras are a developmental theory as well as hierarchy of consciousness, reflecting similarities with well-accepted psychological theories such as Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and Erik Erikson’s developmental theory. A person will be primarily motivated by the wants and needs of their primary chakra consciousness. This will determine what is attractive to a person based on their state of awareness. The primary motivations are listed below:

1st - Survival and protection

2nd- Relating and exchange

3rd- Personal power and social role

4th- Unconditional love and devotion

5th- Creativity, communication and divine encounter

6th- Wisdom, focus on non-duality

7th- Beyond duality

Each chakra consciousness brings a set of challenges one may struggle with. Once this state of consciousness is contented enough the overarching state of consciousness will develop to the next stage. Most people spend their lives in the first 3 chakra minds. When the basis of the lower three chakras are established and purified, a devotional attitude will arise, allowing the aspirant the opportunity to move higher in their spiritual evolution. It takes a lot of work to get to the heart chakra. Much of the care and love people express are via the 4th microchakras of the lower chakras. A true movement to unconditional love is rarer and more associated with the great saints of all cultures.

The chakras offer an opportunity to go beyond diagnostics and pathologizing and come to a fuller understanding of the human psyche and its potential. It is a full cosmology of existence and the microcosmic pattern of human experience. This great work of Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar’s offers a real opportunity to raise the consciousness to states of inconceivable love and divine realization; to experience the sacredness hidden in each person’s heart.
