Welcome to my blog, where I will share with you the adventure it is to archive 50+ years of a great master's life's work!
My beloved teacher, Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar, was a Nada and Swar Yogi (science of sound and breath). He left his body in April 2025, leaving behind many dedicated students and decades of sacred sounds and knowledge. In January 2026 I accepted the role of President and Lead Archivist of the Chakra Institute, and the most important task I see before me is protecting and organizing his life's work. He taught the great secrets of life, the Vedic and Tantric knowledge and mantras, and he also taught practical, modern ways to apply Chakra and Microchakra Psychology to our everyday lives.

Sri Shyamji spent his lifetime working with people, teaching and offering his knowledge and wisdom to the world. Many of these workshops and classes were recorded — on audio cassette, various camcorder cassettes, some Beta cassettes — a wide range of older recordings exist that need to be digitized as soon as possible due to the inevitable degradation of the materials. On top of that, we have many old hard drives with terabytes of data on them — it's an unbelievably large task to digitize and archive 50 years of this man's work.
It is not well organized. Many of the cassettes are in boxes, and I have about 30 or more boxes full of tapes! I am sure you can imagine how overwhelming this feels for me- do you know how many tapes fit into a single box! However, what could be a more beautiful opportunity in life than to get to sit, listen, and receive my Guru's teachings? If it takes my lifetime to archive his life, then I consider it a life well lived.
The editing process, on the other hand, is not easy. I have never been the most technologically savvy person - in fact, I would say I was dragged kicking and screaming into this digital age. For every 30 minutes of material you get to enjoy please know there are 4–6 hours of work behind it. Often tedious and frustrating details, as I try my best to improve and capture the highest possible sound quality while also making sure that under no circumstances do we negatively impact the sacred mantras he has offered.

In the process of moving through the archive, I am developing the future trainings and workshops for the institute, as well as pulling out small clips to share on social media. The idea of this blog is to share this journey with you all, so that you too can walk back through time and visit his teachings, and receive from this great well of wisdom.
I plan to simply reflect on the material I am working through, sharing with you small clips of his direct audio/video that speak to me. Obviously it is additional work, effort, and time to write this blog post, clip and post the related audio and put it on social media for you all to receive. I hope this additional time will be worthwhile and that you will enjoy this journey as much as I do. I hope you'll also consider joining us as we dive deep into these recordings in future workshops!
With Gratitude,
