Lunar Eclipse Aug 27/28, 2026

Lunar eclipses carry a deep, internal, psychic and spiritual potential. This is the mysterious realm of the feminine which receives all in its womb and offers its healing nectar calling us deeper into her waters. This particular Lunar eclipse occurs the night of Aug 27, 2026 in Az time zone. While it is considered a partial eclipse, though it is about 96% covered, leaving a sliver that creates a reddening effect reminiscent of the divine feminine in her Devi form. This eclipse occurs at 4 degrees Pisces in western astrology. Since a Lunar eclipse is a Full Moon, the Sun is at 4 degrees Virgo during this eclipse, lighting up this axis of the mystical brought manifest through right attitudes, habits and deep devotion. This eclipse is fully visible in the United States (though it is not recommended to watch it as this can increase the chaotic outcome of the energy), its visibility makes it more concrete, meaning you will see the tangible outcome of this celestial event in your life.

The Lunar eclipse occurring in Pisces energizes the unseen realm bringing the connection to the divine, to those who have crossed over and to our inner meaning and purpose to the surface. In this eclipse the Sun sits with the South Node (as it did in the Solar eclipse) which continues to underline those themes as dissolution of egoic self. It asks us to surrender the personal pride and accomplishment and recognize the power which allows all to be. Without the underlying power of life not one blade of grass would move, thus we move away from our accomplishments and recognize that which creates and allows these successes to be.

The Moon sitting in Pisces bring the connectivity to that which is greater, or the deep desire for it. If you have planets or points here you may feel an insatiable urge to learn or experience the infinite. The Moon sitting with North Node however can have a rather chaotic presentation and Pisces is known for illusion and delusion. That means false messages, false prophets and chaotic/tricky spirits will surely rise trying to take advantage of the thinner veil and reduction in discernment. It can also increase substance use, addictions of all sorts, escapist behaviors and collective illusion. Illusions however can also be popped- and the collective can begin to see what’s really going on behind the curtain. Remember that the moment of the eclipse plants the subtle seed, but it has the next 6 months to gestate, take root and bear fruit.

For those deeply on a spiritual path, whose devotion (Bhakti) has been sufficiently developed, this Moon acts as an antenna to draw that bliss of divine truth into our hearts. The opportunity to advance closer, become more permeable through release of ego structures and absorb the divine bliss becomes a true possibility.

This summer we also saw the 4 degree basket (The rare “444 Alignment from the last blog post) formation which implied new energetic structure collectively being built. This came after the 0 degree (genesis point) Neptune-Saturn conjunction. It seems we had this powerful initiation of New Beginnings followed by a structural team of celestial bodies building that energetic framework. This Lunar Eclipse meets that 4 degrees with the power of divine blessing to create a world which is responsible stewards for others- other beings, animal and plant species and the earth as a whole. On a personal level, your role in this New world, which has been shifting since Aug/Sept 2025 and became stronger Feb 2026, - now is the GO moment- it is the divine blessing on the new structure as it moves into 3D. The new life has been building on the energetic level, inside of you, and this eclipse marks the beginning of its expression.

The closer the planets or points to the 4 degree Pisces/Virgo axis the more intensely this eclipse will impact you. Looking closely at the planet, point, house and aspects can illuminate the depth of the deeper architecture of this eclipse for you. Those with planets and points around the 4-degree squares (Sagittarius-Gemini) will feel a pressure to release the need to know and understand- to release the mental grasping and trust, intuit. They may be hit with a wave of intuition or psychic information or even may try to desperately understand the ultimate through the mind, collecting information but being unable to satiate their inner quest. The Piscean energy asks them to float upon the Truth, the Light and the Bliss without dissecting it or theorizing into a philosophy; to recognize that truth can not be whole through mental activity. Some may find themselves being brought to a new mental endeavor- to learn a spiritual art; while the whole can not reside in any knowledge it can purify the mind to be able to receive it. Gifts of knowledge, teachers and new ways of seeing the world may arrive for those ready to embark on the next phase of their passage. Taking a leap, trusting your intuition or learning a new model that is not purely logical may serve as the seed planted in this eclipse.

Mercury sits opposite this Moon, with the  Sun and the South node, underlining that all we know, while preparatory, is ready for dissolution. Are we ready to dive into the depths of the ocean, beyond the realm of the mind, beyond the ego and beyond the self as we have come to know ourselves. The more we can surrender, the emptier we are, the more which can be filled with grace.

Solar Eclipse Aug 12, 2026 (From the Newsletter)

Eclipses bring a very intensive energy, offering chaos, endings and most importantly spiritual opportunity to take leaps not otherwise available. When evaluating the effect of an eclipse you must look at where the eclipse is happening in your chart. While a 10 degree orb is generally considered within range of the impact, I would say anything in the 0-4 degree zone is going to be deeply and completely impacted in the most significant way- it will have the most external expressions.

August holds both a Solar eclipse (New Moon) and Lunar eclipse (Full Moon). Eclipses always happen at what we call the north and south node, this is what allows the shadow to temporarily block the light of the luminary body. The Solar Eclipse is first, Wed Aug 12^th at 20 degree Leo in tropical (western astrology). Any planets or points near the 20 Leo or Aquarius axis will have a significant change to it with this eclipse, meaning this area of life is going to undergo a major release and reconstruction.

The Solar Eclipse blacks out the Sun- the self, the light, and in the regal sign of Leo which is ruled by Sun. For some this temporary darkening can feel like their goals are being thwarted. However, the Sun as ego has an opportunity to open beyond its limited nature if it takes this opportunity from a more spiritual perspective, as no matter how beautiful an ego it still that which does not persist- the false covering the real. This eclipse point is at the south node, which is where endings occur and we detach- from that which no longer serves us, from ego impressions and behaviors that limit us where past life karma finds its completion. If you have planets and points here I would expect endings which shatter one’s identity or sense of themselves, where one’s sense of regality has grown too big, serving the ego more than the collective.

Collectively....

This Solar eclipse is actually very near the sitting US Presidents Mars and Ascendant- suggesting collectively we are ready to be done with a certain greed and distortion of kingly expression. This also suggests as a collective we needed to see and experience the poison of this ego and consuming as a part of the historical collective learning. This eclipse also sits opposite the United States chart’s moon in late Aquarius. The opposition (with the chart’s moon near the North node of the eclipse) suggests a pressure to return to its humanitarian roots, where strangers are welcomed as friends and freedom for all is deeply valued.

Planets or points in the squared signs (near 20 degrees Scorpio or Taurus) will surely feel the energy of this eclipse. Likely an intense pressure to act, to complete, to release and let go will arise. While this is not the direct ego breaking point, it asks for resolution which likely requires the surrender or exhaustion of an ego.

Looking at the specific planets and the house placement will of course add additional and more specific understanding. Nevertheless, tracking ones planetary transits and learning, through your own experience, is a great way to become more familiar with the energies and expressions as life cycles through experience.
